Perimeter Protection

These are systems that are installed below the surface of the ground and are therefore particularly suitable for applications that require the site aesthetics to be respected (historic monuments, museums, private residences) together with a system immune to environmental and atmospheric conditions (airports, refineries, industrial and military installations). They are completely invisible and it is impossible to identify the route of the system, giving many advantages of stability and reliability.

The GPS Plus (Ground Perimeter System) is an invisible, buried perimeter detection system , which is an evolution of the traditional GPS system, designed using DSP (Digital Signal Processing ) technology. This type of system digitises the signals provided by the sensor, analyses them in both time and frequency domains, guaranteeing extremely
accurate evaluation.

The DPS (Dual-technology Perimeter System) is based on using a combination of the performance of the differential pressure detector (GPS Plus or PPS) with the RFC system (electromagnetic field generator).

The RFC (Radio Frequency Cables) uses two buried cables, one as a transmitter and one as a receiver, creating
an electromagnetic field that is sensitive to movement in the area to be protected. Variations in the radio frequency energy received, caused by crossing the protected area, are detected and analysed.

The DPP (Dual-technology Perimeter System) is a double technology system based on combining the two invisible systems: PPS (differential pressure with point detection) and the RFC System (electromagnetic field generator).

Are cost effective where a barrier exists. Can follow the fence line. Provide the earliest warning of potential intruders. Are installed with a minimum of effort.

CPS is a passive, perimeter intrusion detection system designed for both external and internal applications, using microphonic cable. Normally installed on an existing, external chain-link or welded mesh fence it can also be used on the surface or in the structure of solid barriers (ceilings, walls etc.).

SNAKE is a perimeter protection system using fibre optics for the detection, suitable for internal and external applications. It uses opto-phonic technology to detect, in external applications, all typical attempts to climb, cut or break through a fence and for internal applications it can indicate attempts to break through or penetrate a wall.

Are cost effective for long, straight boundaries. Do not require a physical barrier. Work over most types of ground.

The WPS system was developed from the requirement to create a perimeter security system that had both improved tolerance to sabotage and detection of intrusion.It is a perimeter fence comprising sensitive wires run parallel to each other at a distance of about 15cm apart and supported by posts arranged along its length at a distance of about 2.5 – 3.0m.

IPS is a perimeter protection system using infrared beams, for internal and external use, and is designed to have a high resistance to mechanical disturbances and to atmospheric interference.

The Multiplex 2000 system is a communication network designed to integrate and control many different types of perimeter detection systems on a single network. All the GPS perimeter systems can integrate directly into the network while the network is also capable of monitoring the output contacts of any other form of detector or monitoring device.
